Welcome

portail chateau lyonnatGérard and Brigitte Milhade welcome you to come and visit them at their château and discover their two wine estates, Grands Vins of Bordeaux:
  • Château Lyonnat (52 ha in Lussac Saint-Emilion),
  • Château Tour d'Auron (17 ha in Bordeaux Supérieur, including 2 ha in Sauvignon Blanc).

Gérard and Brigitte are delighted to share their passion about winemaking with you at their château and estates. Come and discover their vineyard and their wines, made mostly of Merlot, and spend an unforgettable day with them.

You can buy their wines directly at the château or through the family wine merchant business, which is currently managed by your host, Gérard Milhade.

The Milhade family history began four generations ago with Damase Milhade, and the creation in 1938 of a wine merchant business in Galgon on the Right Bank of Bordeaux.
Throughout the years, the family wine merchant business expanded with the acquisition of various Bordeaux wine estates (over 230 ha) such as Château Lyonnat in 1961 and Château Tour d'Auron in 1989.

CHÂTEAU LYONNAT Lussac-St.-Emilion Emotion 2009 Score: 92-95

Coffee and ripe plum, with hints of prune on the nose. Full-bodied, with beautiful fruit and supersilky tannins. Long and gorgeous. Best ever from here. —J.S.
